Terms and Conditions
Please note that all lessons should be cancelled by 6pm the day before the arranged or booked lesson. Failing to do so will result in 50% of the lesson being charged to you.
Any driving lessons paid in arrears i.e. not paid for on the day of the driving lesson, will attract a £3.00 additional fee on top of the normal driving lesson price.
Driving licence and eyesight
You must hold a current valid licence (either provisional or full) which must be produced on the first lesson. You must also be able to read a number plate from a distance 20.5 metres (67 feet) using your glasses if normally worn.
Payments
Lesson payments should be made at the beginning of each lesson unless the instructor specifies otherwise. We accept Cash, Cards and personal Cheques made out to the instructors name.
Where an intensive or semi intensive course is booked a £100 deposit will be required. This is a non-refundable deposit save exceptional circumstances, where a refund is at the discretion of the instructor. Where the instructor in unable to undertake the course for whatever reason then a full refund will be given. The balance of the course cost should be paid at least two weeks before the courses start date.
Lesson Cancellation
You will need to give a minimum of 24 hours notice should you need to cancel a lesson. Any lessons cancelled within this period with be charged at 50% of the cost of a standard lesson and must be paid for in full before any further lessons will be booked.
Punctuality
After arriving at your nominated pick up point for your lesson but there is no reply at the address in question, we will wait approximately 15 minutes. If after 15 minutes, you have not made contact or we are unable to reach you, the lesson will be abandoned and you will be required to pay for the lesson(s) in question.
Use of the vehicle
In the interest of yours and the public's safety, we reserve the right to withdraw the use of the training car for the driving test, if in our opinion your driving is potentially or actually dangerous.
Test
Tests, although normally paid for by the candidate are not guaranteed at the end of hours booked. If the standard of driving REQUIRED BY THE INSTRUCTOR for the practical test has not been reached, extra hours will need to be booked, paid for and instruction given before the candidate is taken for test (Instructors discretion).
If your instructor is too ill or the vehicle has broken down and cannot attend your driving test we will try and assign you a new instructor and car so that the DSA test fee is not lost. The driving instructor will refund the test fee if you cannot find another instructor to take you on your test or if the car has broken down.
The school/instructor cannot be held responsible for tests cancelled by the DSA for any reason.
Refunds
If your driving instructor becomes too ill to continue the training or has a broken vehicle, wherever possible another vehicle / Driving instructor will be arranged for you. If no vehicle / instructor is available the driving instructor who you paid will refund all monies outstanding within 7 days of the last lesson. Drive2Freedom School of Motoring driving instructors are self employed driving instructors governed by the Driving standards agency's code of practice.
